About the CompanyA NSW government organisation is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Lismore. This role is paying $700 - 999 per day + super on a 6 month contract. This position is full time / 35 hours per week from 4/11/24 - 31/12/24 and then part time 21 hours from 1/1/25 – 30/4/25.
About the Role
- Lead the monitoring and reporting functions of these programs, including to develop fit-for-purpose outputs to communicate program updates effectively and efficiently.
- Oversee financial and procurement activities to ensure they align with appropriate legislation, guidelines and other relevant practices, working closely with the Authority’s central Finance and Procurement teams.
- Oversee the risk management and Governance activities to ensure alignment with appropriate legislation, guidelines and relevant practices. Work with the Authority’s central governance and risk teams and oversee the Governance framework for these programs, including project steering committees and other relevant groups.
- Develop project plans for priority sites and development works and develop and enhance stakeholder relationships required for successful project outcomes.
Foster a culture of support and collaboration within the team to build internal expertise and capabilities to ensure delivery of high-quality outputs to support the RA teams. - Maintain awareness of relevant issues, policy obligations, insights, and challenges to identify emerging and sensitive issues and provide strategic and operational advice to the Executive to support effective management of these.
Pursue, evaluate, recommend, and deliver innovative solutions that optimise outcomes and contribute to a best practice function in line with organisational and government priorities.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in leading complex programs of work
- Proven experience in delivering a program in consultation with a range of stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
