Job description

Call Centre Operator role – NSW Government

•    Paramatta Location
•    Hybrid Model
•    $34 P/H + Super
•    37.5 hours P/W
•   Start Date: ASAP - 27/06/25

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with customer service experience to join a dedicated and collaborative team to support the people of NSW. Working in an outbound call centre setting assisting the community with empathy and interacting with vulnerable or stressed customers.

The Role:
 
•    Provide consistent high-quality customer service by interpreting and resolving first-contact enquiries from clients and customers.
•    Maintain accurate records and databases in the inhouse software systems.
•    Assess applications and obtain necessary information and utilise generalist knowledge followed up by making outbound calls to support the needs of the customer.
•    Liaise with customers the up-to-date practices and procedures within the department.
•    Other administrative duties as required.  


Skills/Experience:

•    2-3 years’ experience in a call centre or customer service role
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Previous gov experience is preferred but not required
•    Proficient in Microsoft office suite, particularly Outlook and Teams
•    Specific software will be taught however contractors need to be technically savvy and can pick up systems quickly.
•    Strong problem-solving abilities, especially in a fast-paced environment
