Job description
- 4 month role, based in Coburg
- Hybrid working, 3 days in office | $42 p/h
- Events focused, work with wider team
The Events Coordinator position, is an integral part of the team and involves ensuring clear and professional passenger information and communications are delivered to passengers during late planned and planned disruptions to the service, including events around Melbourne. The will see you liaise with various stakeholders including the general public and department heads.
Key responsibilities include;
- Lead event coordination and administration for two key events to ensure outstanding delivery that meets organisational aims
- Supports coordination of internal working groups to manage each component of the events
- Act as the main point of contact with internal stakeholders and vendors/suppliers, including venue managers, caterers, designers, printers, photographers, and AV technicians, ensuring strong engagement and communication
- Develop consistent collateral including event project plans, briefing documents for team members, agendas, run sheets, supplier briefs, invitations, and other material as required
- Plan and action regular reporting on event progress and outcomes, offering recommendations for future events
- Work with the wider marketing and communications team to develop event collateral including invitations, banners, displays, event programs
- Qualifications in a relevant field, including but not limited to event management, community engagement, marketing, communications.
- Demonstrated experience in a similar hands-on role coordinating and delivering multi-stakeholder events
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Hard-working, energetic and uses their initiative
- Proficient use of the MS Office suite and In-design would be advantageous
