Job description
- Contract starting in May until December 2025
- Work across the facilities team | $50 - $53 p/h

Responsibilities:
- Provide administration of building systems including access control, locker and wayfinding systems.
- Support the BMS Officer and Facilities Manager with the delivery of day-to-day building management services where required.
- Identify and verify required works based on BMS reports and regular inspections and engage service contractors to undertake works.
- In collaboration with the Facilities Manager, supervise and coordinate trades personnel and contractors engaged in the daily operation of the campus, ensuring that all works are completed in a safe, effective and timely manner.
- Contribute to building-related reports and dashboards.
- Contribute to developing and reviewing building systems procedures.
- Carry out regular maintenance inspections in consultation with the Facilities Manager.
- Contribute to front-of-house support and respond to building-related customer service enquiries through direct interactions with CIT staff and students, phone enquiries or access via the campus office.
- Proactively monitor and respond to facilities issues (both internal and external) to reduce the risk of injury to students, staff and the general community accessing the campus.
- Perform the duties of a Fire Warden and assist the Facilities Manager in the coordination and control of fire protection and prevention program/initiatives and assist with the preparation of appropriate emergency procedures and emergency exercises as required.
- Current ACT drivers licence
- Previous experience in managing facilities within a large organisation
- First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain one) & willing to complete fire warden training
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with a customer-centric approach
- Ability to manage competing tasks and priorities
