Facilities Manager - Short term contract   An experienced Facilities Manager required to start immediately for a 2 month temporary role in Brisbane.

About the role
Leading higher education provider has a requirement for an immediate start for an experienced Facilities Manager to support with the smooth operation of Facilities and managing the day to day operation of the campus.

Responsibilities:
  • Building Maintenance: Ensure all buildings and offices, are  properly maintained. This includes managing repair requests, scheduling regular maintenance, and coordinating with contractors.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure the facilities meet health, safety, and environmental standards. This includes fire safety, electrical safety, and emergency preparedness.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the budget for facilities maintenance and repairs, ensuring cost-effective solutions and proper allocation of funds.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate with external service providers for maintenance, security, cleaning, and other facility-related services.
  • Event Coordination: Assist in the planning and execution of events by ensuring that venues are properly set up and any facility needs are met.
  • Team Management: Supervise a team of maintenance staff, janitors, and other facility-related personnel.
Qualifications:
  • Experience in facilities management essential
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and building codes.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage budgets and work with vendors.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
