HR Administrator

Local Government based just east of the city | $38 per hour + super | Initially contracted until February 2024

  • Support and assist all areas of the HR team and specifically the Payroll and Operations team
  • You will have previous experience in a HR administrator role
  • To start ASAP until February 2024 initially

About the company:

A local government authority based just east of the city are looking for an administrator to support their people and culture team. You will support and assist all areas of the people and culture team and specifically the Payroll and Operations team.

This position is to start in December 2023 and is initially contracted until February 2024. You will be working Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm. You will have the opportunity to work hybrid and will be required in the office 2-3 days per week.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Raise purchase orders and invoicing
  • Complete audits on employees who need working with children checks and visa checks.
  • Be the first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders for HR Support, HR Operations advice and information
  • Provide project and administration support to HR as required
  • Manage the HR Inbox
  • Management and ownership over the Councils contingent (Contractor) Workforce
  • Financial Administration
  • Perform ad-hoc work within the HR, Payroll, Operations and Systems function. 

You will have the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar HR administrative/support position in a fast paced and high-volume transaction and diverse environment
  • Experience raising purchase orders and invoicing
  • Experience using a HRIS is highly desirable & a strong technology focus  
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently use technology to administer employee transactions from onboarding to contingent workforce systems.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
