Job description

Charterhouse is currently seeking a Junior Solicitor specialising in Restructuring and Insolvency to join a global law firm based in Brisbane. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in restructuring and insolvency and/or dispute resolution.  This role provides an excellent opportunity for career development and to work on complex issues in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in handling restructuring and insolvency matters
  • Conduct legal research and analysis related to insolvency laws and regulations
  • Support senior lawyers in dispute resolution cases
  • Collaborate with clients and provide high-quality legal advice and solutions
  • Contribute to business development initiatives
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in restructuring and insolvency (preferred, but will consider strong candidates with broader experience, including from three years post qualification)
  • Ideal WAM average of law subjects above 70
  • Dispute resolution experience
  • Preferably have undertaken the ARITA Advanced Certification course
  • Strong client service orientation and business development aptitude
  • Excellent technical, drafting, and commercial skills
  • Outstanding analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proactive and collaborative approach to work
