Part Time - Legal Receptionist - Government Contract Role  
  • Immediate start, initial contract through to 20/12/24 with likely extension
  • $37ph + super
  • Monday to Friday, 1:00pm - 5:30pm
  • 22.5 hours per week
  • Sydney CBD location, full time on site
  • Experience in a legal environment highly regarded
  • Open to Working Holiday Visa candidates
  • Must be able to commit to the initial length of contract
  Responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Reception - phone calls, messages, answering the door, booking meeting rooms
  • Photocopying and printing
  • Court runs
  • Stationary orders / maintaining of stock
  • Mail / Courier duties
  • Assisting with archiving duties
  • Other ad-hoc administration duties as required
About you:
  • High level communication skills (face to face, email and phone)
  • Ability to take initiate and support the team where required
  • Adaptable and a fast learner with a can do attitude
  • Understanding of confidentiality and sensitive issues
  • Efficient, confident and hardworking
  • Experience within a legal environment is highly beneficial
  • Open to WHV candidates with experience in a legal environment
Other notes about this role: A pleasant phone manner and good work ethic is a must. We need the successful candidate to be an all rounder who is adaptable and happy to support their team and the solicitors of the office, and some ad hoc tasks may include going across to the supermarket to get milk or things for morning tea, set up meeting rooms, running files across the road to the court house, big scanning/photocopying jobs or copying discs, etc. The nature of the business is administering justice, criminal prosecution, and so good common sense and the ability to maintain confidentiality are highly important. The successful candidate will come across information about criminal acts, victims, alleged offenders etc. in their local community, so we are seeking candidates with a healthy and balanced outlook on life and the ability to handle confronting information.
