8-month Supply Chain and Contract Management Product Lead opportunity to work for a large council in the Southeast suburbs

  • 8-month temporary opportunity | Full time hours.
 

The primary purpose of this role is to lead and oversee the delivery of the Technology One Supply Chain (SCM) and Contract Management (CM) stream within the OneCouncil Program. This includes driving collaboration and managing implementation activities with vendors, project team members, and business stakeholders to ensure the successful design, configuration, and testing of the solution. The role requires a hands-on approach to ensure all aspects of the SCM and CM streams are executed effectively and in alignment with program objectives.

You will be responsible for:

  • Lead the delivery of the SCM/CM One Council product stream, collaborating with the Technology One Lead (vendor) to design, configure, and conduct UAT testing based on your procurement solution implementation experience.
  • Oversee the design and configuration of the solution, ensuring alignment with design principles, approved requirements, and identified benefits.
  • Lead Product Specialists and Business SMEs in design, configuration, and testing activities, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Maintain up-to-date configuration documentation and ensure it reflects all changes and updates.
  • Partner with the Training Lead and Service Owner/s to develop training materials and coordinate training delivery, and provide expert guidance to senior stakeholders on SCM/CM product matters.
Operations:

  • Actively participate and provide specialist input in governance bodies, including the OneCouncil working groups and Architecture boards as required.
  • Ensure deliverables meet high-quality standards and implement appropriate quality assurance processes.
  • Collaborate with program/project teams to deliver project outcomes and attend relevant meetings as needed.
  • Contribute to tasks and outcomes where required, promoting Casey’s values of Dream Big, Empower Each Other, and Make our Community Proud.
  • Adhere to Casey City Council's commitment to child safety and contribute to emergency management planning as per the Emergency Management Act 2013.
 

To be successful you will have:   

  • Proven experience leading the implementation of Procurement solutions, including Technology One Supply Chain and Contract Management, with exposure to Technology One CiA and One Council templates.
  • Strong understanding of Local Government procurement and contract management, including category management and tendering processes.
  • Significant leadership experience with decision-making authority and demonstrated success in functional and user acceptance testing.
  • Hands-on experience in data migration from Technology One Ci to CiA, or similar systems, and developing ERP solutions for medium to large-scale organisations.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), workshop facilitation, and a collaborative, consultative approach to working with stakeholders at all levels.
