Job description

Charterhouse is currently seeking an Associate for a role in a top tier firm based in Sydney. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 -4 PQE years of experience in transactional practice with experience across M&A, energy, resources and infrastructure.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for an experienced legal practitioner to join a growing transactional group in one of the leading gobal law firms.  Expect work to include private M&A, renewables, energy, hydrogen, waste to energy, resource and oil and gas projects and transactions.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in corporate transactions and commercial arrangements (such as M&A or project works);
  • Australian Qualified lawyer with relevant experience;
  • Relevant energy and renewables transactions experience in a top tier or leading international firm preferred;
  • Excellent analytical and research skills and attention to detail;
  • A strong academic background
  • Strong technical and drafting skills;
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills;
  • Strong commitment to client service, well-developed relationship management ability and ability to build rapport with colleagues and clients - you will play a role in supporting and actively developing our relationships with clients.
  • Team focus – ability to build relationships with colleagues and clients, reliable and always follow through
  • Proactive and enthusiastic approach including participating in industry related programs and developing strategic relationships and networks; and
  • An ability to work well in a team environment (including across Australian offices and internationally)
