Payroll
How will I be paid?
You will be paid on a weekly basis, as specified in your contract.
Our standard Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment date is on Thursday afternoon. Please note that this payment date may occasionally change due to public holidays. Your consultant will notify you in advance should this be the case.
When is the payroll deadline?
Your timesheet and any expenses must be submitted and approved by close of business on Monday. Any timesheets approved after this deadline will be paid in the following week’s pay run.
When will I receive my payslip?
We will email your payslip to you as a PDF document after payroll on Thursday afternoon. Please ensure that you have provided us with the correct email address.
Why haven’t I been paid?
This could be due to a number of reasons:
You have missed the deadline for submitting your timesheet (close of business on Monday)
Your timesheet has not been approved
Your banking details are incorrect (BSB and/or account number)
If you haven’t been paid, please contact Payroll as soon as possible by email at payroll@charterhouse.com.au or by phone on 02 9641 5178 (8.30am-5pm AEDT Monday to Friday). We will try to process your pay as quickly as possible; otherwise you will be paid in the following week’s pay run.
When will my superannuation be paid?
We will pay superannuation on a quarterly basis into your nominated fund. If you have not nominated a fund, your Super will be paid into Charterhouse’s default fund, BT Employer Super.
How do I update my personal details?
Please advise Payroll of any change in your personal details, such as your bank account details, address, superannuation and tax file declaration.
PTY Contractors
What insurance cover do I need to provide as a PTY contractor?
We will need a current copy of the following documents:

Public Liability Insurance Policy (cover dependent on role)
Workers Compensation Certificate of Currency
Professional Indemnity Policy (cover dependent on role)
GST certificate (if registered for GST)
All PTY invoices must be submitted by close of business on Monday.
Our standard Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment date is on Thursday afternoon. You will receive funds in your bank account on Thursday or Friday, depending on your bank. Payment will be made to company bank accounts only, so please ensure that you have provided these details to Payroll.
You will be sent an RCTI by email on Thursday afternoon.
Work Health & Safety (WHS)
What WHS training do I need to complete?
Prior to commencing your first assignment, you will need to complete and pass the relevant WorkPro WHS modules online. Your consultant will email you the details to access these assessments. You will also be required to sign our Charterhouse WHS policy via the WorkPro training system.
On the first day of your assignment, you will receive a site/work specific WHS induction from your supervisor or WHS officer at the client site. On completion, please sign our one-page WHS induction checklist to confirm the induction has taken place; a copy of this checklist should then be emailed the same day to your consultant.
What should I do if I have any WHS concerns or injure myself at work?
If you identify a possible hazard in the workplace, experience a near miss at a client site, or injure yourself at work, you should immediately report it to your supervisor or the WHS officer at the client site, as well as your consultant or Group HR Manager at Charterhouse.
Sick Leave and Vacation
What should I do if I am not well enough to work?
Please notify your Charterhouse consultant before 8am on the day you are due to work. S/he can then inform the client and arrange a replacement if necessary.
Please note that contractors are not entitled to paid sick leave. Your rate of pay is inclusive of leave loading.
How do I arrange time off work?
Please discuss your plans with your supervisor in advance and notify your Charterhouse consultant so that appropriate cover can be arranged, if necessary.
Please note that contractors are not entitled to paid leave. Your rate of pay is inclusive of leave loading.
