Automation Test Engineer

• $700 per day + super
• Contract until Dec 2025 - view to extend

• Develop and configure test automation environments and plan, document, and execute stability and performance testing.
• Design, implement, and apply automated testing strategies to improve test efficiency, build reusable testing frameworks, identify defects and quality issues, minimise manual testing efforts, and ensure consistency across test executions.
• Analyse and validate optimal automated testing approaches, and perform acceptance, integration, installation, and system-level testing.
• Define and document clear acceptance criteria based on project testing requirements, using methodologies such as Waterfall, Agile, or hybrid models to ensure thorough system evaluation.
• Provide accurate time and effort estimates for assigned testing tasks, including confidence levels and potential dependencies, to support effective planning and streamlined testing execution.
• Develop and execute automated test plans across various test phases—including system testing, integration testing, user acceptance testing, regression testing, and production verification—to ensure software stability and performance.
• Review technical and functional requirements, and conduct in-depth analysis of test data to ensure products meet quality, usability, and release standards.
• Collaborate with management to define and implement best practices, processes, templates, and tools that support the delivery of high-quality system releases.
• Develop testing options and solutions to ensure systems and applications perform effectively within the target operating environment.

• Selenium experience
• K6 experience
• Experience in test automation framework and script designing
• Demonstrated experience working as part of a Systems Group project delivery team performing activities to strict deadlines.
