Are you an experienced BI Developer with leadership experience, a passion for data, and a knack for creating impactful business intelligence solutions? Join a local government organisation in Sydney and play a pivotal role in supporting decision-making and delivering innovative BI solutions.
About the Role This is a 12-month initial contract with the potential for extension. As the BI Developer – Tech Lead, you will design and deliver robust data solutions that enable the organisation to make informed decisions. You’ll lead ETL processes, build data warehouses, and create compelling visualisations using Power BI or Tableau.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable data warehousing solutions.
- Create dynamic dashboards and reports using Power BI or Tableau.
- Manage ETL processes and data pipelines.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior team members to ensure high-quality outputs and adherence to best practices.
- Support organisational goals by delivering actionable insights and analytics.
- 5+ years of experience in BI development or data analysis, with at least 1 year in a leadership or mentoring role.
- Strong experience in ETL tools and processes and designing data warehouses.
- Advanced proficiency in Power BI or Tableau for data visualisation.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
