Our client, a local government authority in the inner southeastern suburbs of Melbourne is looking for a learning and development advisor to join their HR team. This is a full-time role, working Monday – Friday.
You will be reporting into the Head of People Business Partnering. The client is seeking a skilled and proactive Learning and Development Advisor to step in during a key transitional period for the organisation. This temporary role has arisen due to a staff member going on leave.
The successful candidate will bring extensive expertise in the ELMO Learning Management System, enabling the efficient management of our LMS and the smooth delivery of engaging and effective training programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize the ELMO Learning Management System (LMS).
- Design and deliver leadership, education, and compliance training programs.
- Collaborate with senior management and team leaders on professional development strategies.
- Drive engagement through induction programs, compliance reporting, and performance management.
- Develop capability frameworks and deliver tailored training solutions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning initiatives, providing insights for continuous improvement.
- Support organisational development strategies, including talent and culture management.
- Experience managing LMS platforms (ELMO preferred).
- Strong training and facilitation skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Demonstrated capability in defining strategic directions for learning programs.
- Proven expertise in compliance, induction, and performance management initiatives.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems.
- A collaborative approach to working within teams and with stakeholders at all levels.
