Our client, an established, national law firm specialising in personal injury claims is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Secretary to support their personal injury practice. This is an exciting opportunity to join a firm committed to driving operational efficiencies and providing exceptional client service.

About the role:
  • Drafting correspondence, notice of claims, applications, and pleadings.
  • Managing appointments and conferences, including scheduling meetings and hearings.
  • Organising and maintaining both paper and electronic client files.
  • Providing clients and other stakeholders with information as required.
  • Assisting in managing workflows to ensure timely progression of matters.
  • Ensuring client files are regularly updated and that the work is in line with deadlines.
  • Liaising with clients, barristers, courts, and medical professionals for scheduling, information exchange, and documentation.
  • Preparing briefs, tender bundles, settlement documents, and court pleadings.
  • Drafting letters to clients and third parties as necessary.
  • Assisting with billing tasks, including preparing invoices and trust account authorities.
  • Diary management and monitoring time limitations for ongoing matters.
  • Ensuring matters are closed and ready for archiving.

About you:

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role within personal injury law.
  • Familiarity with worker’s compensation, public liability, and/or common law claims processes.
  • A proactive approach with a strong focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional typing and document drafting skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a heavy workload, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Empathy and professionalism when dealing with clients.
  • Strong multitasking and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Experience with diary management and Microsoft Outlook.
