Administrative Support Officer - Identified
NSW Government 
 
  • Pay rate: $45 - $48 per hour + super
  • Start date 6/1/25, initial 4 week contract with likely extension and opportunity for a long term position
  • CBD location/Hybrid (2 days on site, 3 days working from home)
  • Full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
  • Must be fully available for the 4 week period

About the Company


Our client, a large NSW Government Agency within the Education sector is seeking an experienced Administration Support Officer who is is ready to hit the ground running. This role offers a friendly and supportive working environment in a fantastic CBD location with hybrid working flexibility and potential for ongoing work.
 
Duties within the role will include but not limited to:
 
  • Meeting coordination and minute taking for both internal and external stakeholder meetings
  • Processing financial transactions, such as invoices, time sheets, flight and accommodation bookings
  • Managing a high volume of external correspondence from shared mailboxes
  • Drafting paperwork including contracts, confidentiality documentation, and invitation letters to syllabus and support material writers, as well as voluntary advisory group members who provide feedback for the development of syllabuses
  • Updating databases
  • Other administrative duties as required
 
Requirements:


To be considered for the permanent position past the contracted period, we require an identified candidate - Please confirm in your application if this applies
 
  • Previous administration experience, Government or experience in the Education sector is highly beneficial
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Team player with the ability to take initiative
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast paced, high volume working environment
  • Tech savvy - Able to pick up new systems quickly
  • Microsoft Office skills - Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality and the handling of sensitive information
  • A quick learner and able to commit to the full length of the initial contract of 4 weeks
