About the Company:

Our client, a prominent education body based in the CBD, is seeking a Child Safety Advisor for a full-time ongoing role, working Monday to Friday.

As the Child Safety Advisor, you will be a vital source of support, advice, and expertise on child safety matters within the organization. Your responsibilities will include promoting staff awareness of child safety obligations under the Victorian Child Safe Standards, supporting risk assessments, and providing guidance on the Child Safety Policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and conduct initiatives to build capacity and raise awareness of child safety standards.
  • Collaborate on the creation and dissemination of child safety awareness materials.
  • Support the review and mitigation of child safety risks in events and activities.
  • Respond to child safety concerns and escalate as necessary.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of mandatory child safety compliance training.
  • Provide specialist advice on child safety obligations and policies.
Qualifications and Experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of child safety legislation and best practices.
  • Experience in identifying and mitigating child safety risks.
  • Proven ability to lead awareness-raising initiatives across diverse groups.
  • High-level presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Experience in preparing sensitive reports and advising on policy and legislative requirements.
  • Current and valid Working with Children Check.
