Our client a purpose driven organisation, based southeast of Melbourne’s CBD is looking for a Payroll Team Leader to join their finance team. You will be reporting into the CFO and working alongside a Senior Payroll Officer.
You will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for staff across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards. You will also play a key role in system implementation, data analysis, and process improvement while mentoring a high-performing payroll team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and process payroll for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Manage and maintain HumanForce software for timekeeping and payroll automation
- Provide reporting and insights using advanced Excel
- Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards, and superannuation requirements
- Lead, mentor, and develop payroll team members
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to streamline payroll processes
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements
- Proven experience in payroll management, ideally in the health and for-purpose sector
- Expertise in HumanForce software for payroll and workforce management
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
- Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
- Ability to manage high-volume payroll processing
- Formal qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or related fields
- Competitive salary of $120,000 + super
