  • Hybrid role – 3 days in the office & 2 days from home
  • $120,000 + super
About the company:

Our client a purpose driven organisation, based southeast of Melbourne’s CBD is looking for a Payroll Team Leader to join their finance team. You will be reporting into the CFO and working alongside a Senior Payroll Officer.

You will oversee end-to-end payroll processing for staff across multiple facilities, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards. You will also play a key role in system implementation, data analysis, and process improvement while mentoring a high-performing payroll team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and process payroll for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Manage and maintain HumanForce software for timekeeping and payroll automation
  • Provide reporting and insights using advanced Excel 
  • Ensure compliance with payroll legislation, awards, and superannuation requirements
  • Lead, mentor, and develop payroll team members
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to streamline payroll processes
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements
You will have the following:

  • Proven experience in payroll management, ideally in the health and for-purpose sector
  • Expertise in HumanForce software for payroll and workforce management
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills for data analysis and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills
  • Ability to manage high-volume payroll processing 
  • Formal qualification in Payroll, Accounting, or related fields
