People & Culture Coordinator- Based in the heart of Sydney CBD
- Up to 95k + super (dependent on experience)
- Opportunity to work for a growing and independent Accounting Practice
This is a newly created role and an exciting opportunity for an individual that is passionate about creating a positive environment and driving a high performing team.
This role involves managing staff training, onboarding new starters, employee engagement, organisation staff events and coordinating recruitment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and has a passion for supporting a dynamic team in a professional services environment.
Key Responsibilities but not limited to:
HR Administration:
- Maintain and update employee records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with the preparation of HR reports, analytics, and metrics to support strategic decision-making
- Maintain records of all staff correspondence
- Maintain company register of staff annual leave
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and internal policies
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures as required.
- Support initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture
- Organising internal and external events
- Organise employee recognition programs and surveys
- Assist in developing and implementing employee engagement strategies aligned with the company’s values and goals.
- Coordinate and schedule internal and external training sessions, workshops, and professional development programs
- Manage soft and technical training
- Assist in identifying training needs and support the development of tailored learning and development plans
- Coach Client Advisors in management of their teams
- Assist with the full recruitment cycle, including posting job advertisements, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
- Coordinate onboarding of new starters
- Ensure a smooth and welcoming integration into the company
- Serve as a point of contact for employees’ HR-related queries, providing timely support and guidance
- Assist in resolving employee concerns or conflicts
- Support health, safety, and well-being initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Assist with the implementation of programs to promote employee well-being and work-life balance
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in human resources or a similar role, preferably within a professional services or accounting environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong ability to build relationships at all levels
- Strong organisational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- High level of problem solving skills
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
