3-month Project Officer opportunity to work for a large Council in the North-West suburbs- Previous Project Officer experience essential ideally within Local Government or Council | Experience updating reports and producing professional presentations will be considered an advantage

Seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Commercial and Project Support Officer to join a Local Government team on a 3-month basis. This role offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Council's Commercial Team, contributing to various commercial projects and initiatives. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day administrative tasks, preparing reports and presentations, and facilitating communication between internal teams and external stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
Administrative Support:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for the Commercial Team.
- Maintain and update reports, databases, and schedules.
- Assist in organising internal meetings and external events.
Reporting & Presentation:
- Prepare and update presentations for internal briefings and meetings with external stakeholders.
- Distribute progress reports on commercial projects.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the main point of contact for external stakeholders, arranging meetings and providing updates on project progress.
- Offer basic information and support regarding commercial initiatives.
- Assist in liaising with potential tenants and other stakeholders.
Market Identification:
- Assist in researching and identifying new market opportunities for commercial tenancy interests.
- Collaborate with internal teams to assess and evaluate these opportunities.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with both internal project teams and external contacts to ensure smooth communication and project alignment.
To be successful you will have:
- Experience in a local government environment is preferred.
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a commercial or sales support context. Proven ability to manage reports, databases, and produce presentations for diverse audiences.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Competent in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Proficient in formatting correspondence and Council documents (e.g., reports) in accordance with the corporate style guide.
- Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Communications, or a related field.
- Knowledge of Council software.
- Experience in inputting and maintaining accurate information in Council databases in a timely manner.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
