Payroll Officer
- Onsite parking

Australia wide wholesale organisation that specialises in a variety of different areas within construction/manufacturing, with a high number of centres across the country while still having a family run feel to it.
Role summary
This contract role will be to support the Payroll Manager with a new project, requiring previous Payroll/HR experience. As well as a strong knowledge within payroll legislation/compliance and awards. There will be masses of data to deal with so a keen eye for detail will be key.
About the role
- Enable data validation and analysis within projects relating to company data transfer
- Analyse data insights and determine mitigation strategies
- Perform quality control audits to ensure accuracy of data across systems and processes
- Track actions and status across the projects ensuring resolution within agreed timeframes
- Ensure analysis and findings are documented/actioned through to resolution
- Ensure the accuracy of payroll related data to facilitate payroll transitions
- Effectively use Award Calculators computing salary comparisons
- Managing project telephone queries and answering all phone calls during office hours
- Managing project inbox, all HR enquiries including transferring/forwarding to relevant stakeholders
Skills & experience
- 5 years experience working within payroll, with extensive people, process and commercial analysis and documentation experience (labour cost management, time and attendance, workforce planning)
- Knowledge of Australia’s industrial relations system, including excellent knowledge of the Fair Work Act, Modern Awards, award and agreement interpretation
- Demonstrated HR operations and preferably HR project experience
- Excellent communication skills/keen attention to detail
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Solid Excel skills (manipulate and analyse large datasets including V-Lookups & Pivot Tables
