Senior Financial Accountant

Job description

• NSW State Government 
• 5 Months contract 
• Sydney CBD + 1x day WFH
• $75 per hour + super 

• Prepare financial statutory financial statements, reports and accounting work papers
• Prepare pre-payment and accrual journals and other end-of-month activities, to enable informed financial decision-making and budget forecasting
• Implementing and undertaking accounting functions and projects as required, including asset management, cash management, systems development and process improvement
• Proactively identify and resolve financial risks including transactional, reporting and account reconciliation issues, and develop mitigation strategies

• CA preferred  
• Experience in accounting and related software systems (SAP, Calumo, My Outcome)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Essential have worked in BIG & in the NSW Government sector 
• Ability to work under pressure and independent
• Strong problem-solving skills 
• Permanent Residency
