Role Overview
As the Business Services Manager, you will play a key role in leading and managing a team of professionals while working closely with clients to help them grow and manage their financial success. You will oversee a diverse portfolio of clients, provide strategic business advice, and ensure the smooth delivery of accounting services while also working with the regional leadership team to grow the office footprint.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of accountants.
- Manage a diverse client portfolio, providing tailored business advisory services.
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, tax returns, and compliance work.
- Deliver proactive strategic advice to clients on taxation, business structures, and financial management.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring exceptional customer service.
- Assist with the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management for clients.
- Ensure that all work is completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Contribute to business development and practice growth, identifying opportunities for new services or client acquisition.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA or CA qualification (or working towards).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a public practice accounting environment.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on client relationships.
- Solid technical knowledge in taxation, business advisory, and compliance.
- Proven ability to manage multiple clients and meet deadlines.
- High level of initiative, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero, MYOB, or similar.
