Senior Registry Officer – NSW Government - Temp Contract- Immediate start pending checks
- Initial contract through to 31st January 2025 with view to extend
- $43.28ph + super
- Sydney CBD location - Onsite full time
- Full time, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
- Experience in a tribunal or legal environment is highly beneficial
- Seeking candidates with experience in high-volume customer service environment with good attention to detail, good communication skills and good time management skills
About the Company
Our client, a large NSW Government Agency is seeking a Senior Registry Officer for a temporary contract to provide clerical, administrative and customer service support to the Tribunal. This is a rewarding role, offering a friendly and supportive working environment in a fantastic CBD location.
To succeed as a Senior Registry Officer, you:
- Are motivated and self-drive to provide excellent customer service in Tribunal environment, you will deal with a broad and diverse range of matters, including guardianship matters, tenancy issues, and building works and administrative review of Government decisions
- Have the demonstrated ability to undertake a range of administrative support services relating to the work of the Tribunal, including data entry, preparing correspondence, and maintaining electronic and file records
- Have a strong work ethic with a can-do attitude to work to tight deadlines across multiple tasks
Duties within the role will include but not limited to:
- Listing and preparing cases for hearing
- Responding to enquiries in person or received by phone or email
- Handling complex and escalated enquiries
- Maintaining accurate case management records
- Complying with Tribunal practices and procedures
- Initiate and monitor case management activities, especially in relation to more complex matters, escalating where required
- Manage records (including electronic records) created and processed by the Tribunal, including the retention and disposal of records
Skills & Experience
- A quick learner and willing to develop your skills and knowledge of legislation, legal principles and procedures
- Strong communication and negotiation skills and enjoy client contact
- Experience working in a high volume environment with set timeframes
- Ability to manage and prioritise your workload independently and efficiently
- Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy
- Someone who likes working with others to achieve team and organisational goals
- Previous experience in a legal or Government environment is highly beneficial
