6-month Business Support Officer opportunity to work for a large Council in the North-West suburbs

  • Previous administration experience essential ideally within Local Government or Council | Experience with TRIM will be considered an advantage.
  • Represent a Local Government authority providing excellent service to members of the community 
  • Own transport required| 6-month temporary opportunity
 

You will be working in a council located in the Northwestern suburbs. You will work as a team to undertake administration tasks across the department to achieve the delivery of effective and quality service to the public.

 

You will be responsible for:  

  • Manage and action a high volume of service requests.
  • Respond to queries from customer service and residents in a timely manner.
  • Support the Waste and Sustainable Development team in operational processes and communication.
  • Providing accurate and timely information to members of the public via telephone and email, focusing on data-related inquiries.
  • Supporting the Council's positive image by delivering services and advice in a courteous and efficient manner.
 

To be successful you will have:   

  • Experience in an operational environment is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office Suites.
  • Proficient in formatting correspondence and Council documents (e.g., reports) in accordance with the corporate style guide.
  • Knowledge of Council software such as Finance One, PRIVA or similar booking system, Merit and TRIM will be advantageous.
  • Experience in inputting and maintaining accurate information in Council databases in a timely manner.
  • Skill in ensuring the accuracy of documents and templates to align with corporate style requirements.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
