Part Time - Customer Support Administration Assistant - Local Government

  • Immediate start, initial contract through to 8th August 2024 with possibility to extend
  • $33.96 per hour + super
  • Parramatta location
  • Part time, 15 hours per week
  • 8:00am - 2:00pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Drivers licence required
  • Must be double vaccinated
This position is responsible for Meals on Wheels kitchen duties, receptionist and administration support in the Community Care Team. These teams are involved in a wide variety of work across the community, so this role is an important enabler through highly responsive customer service, sound processes, attention to detail and flexible support to ensure smooth and efficient operations.

We are looking for candidates who have the  confidence to work independently and be a quick adapter to be able to start unhindered almost immediately. Experience working in Community based services with elderly and disability would be optimal.

Day to day responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Primarily answering the switchboard and relaying messages via Outlook and the inhouse CRM
  • Data entry
  • Basic SMS, email and bulk mail communication preparation and delivery
  • Providing, timely, accurate and courteous receptionist, customer service and administration support
  • Modify communication and information formats to suit individual customer needs
  • Assisting with stock control processes including ordering, rotation, inventory and record keeping 
  • Drive Council vehicles when required
  • Follow processes to raise and receipt purchase orders
  • Other ad-hoc administration tasks as required

Skills/Experience:
  • Previous administration experience is essential
  • Exceptional communication skills both written and verbal especially clear diction over the phone. Experience working in Community based services with elderly and disability would be optimal.
  • Great attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
  • Experience using TRIM is highly beneficial
  • Advanced Computer Skills (word processing, mail merging/SMS/data base data entry, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
