Academic Governance and Promotions Assistant

 

An experienced senior administrator with SharePoint experience to be part of a leading university, 8–9-month contract.

About the Role

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact in a prestigious academic environment? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join a leading university on a temporary contract basis for the next 8-9 months working closely with governance processes, SharePoint, committee meetings, and supporting academic promotions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and update governance documentation via SharePoint.
  • Support the organization and coordination of committee meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking.
  • Assist in the preparation and management of academic promotion processes, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant with university guidelines.
  • Ensure smooth communication and documentation flow between stakeholders involved in academic promotions.
  • Assist in maintaining and improving SharePoint structures for governance, meeting management, and academic promotion tracking.
  • Provide administrative support to the governance and academic promotion teams as needed.
 

About you

  • Strong experience with SharePoint, especially in a governance or administrative context.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Prior experience in supporting committee meetings
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in a similar environment ideal
